There are few things more special than bringing treasured memories to life. It would be my honor to commemorate a landscape that is special to you or a loved one. I’ve found great alignment with collectors who desire a painting that captures their unique relationship to a natural setting that brings them awe or calm.  I also enjoy painting home portraits! 

How does this work?

  1. Submit the form with as much detail as possible.
  2. I will reach out to schedule an introductory phone call (2 business days)
  3. After our call, I’ll craft a complimentary commission proposal including a draft sketch of your commission, timeline, and price (1 week).
  4. If you elect to move forward after reviewing your draft sketch, I will request a 50% deposit.
  5. I begin work, and share a final pencil draft (1-2 weeks).
  6. I’ll incorporate any feedback on the final draft, and begin penning and painting (schedule depends on size).
  7. Once complete, I’ll send a final photo for any small modifications, and then will frame the artwork. I will request payment of the remaining balance, and arrange for delivery.

Minimum: $500.

4″x6″ painting, framed with a window mat in an 8×10 wood frame.

6-1/2″x8-1/2″ painting, framed with a window mat in an 11×14 wood frame.

9″x12″ painting, framed with a window mat in a 16×20 wood frame.

Custom sizes and framing options (without framing is also possible) are of course available — I look forward to bringing your vision to life!

How do I create your artwork?

I work with the description and reference photos you provide to imaginatively pen and paint a scene that captures the essence of your special place. I may also reference views available from online maps, and if the location is nearby, I may make an in-person visit to get a better understanding of what it feels like to be present at your location. I focus on the feeling of the place, rather than attempting to adhere strictly to realism.
